Womens History and Resource Center
A Note from Jane Wilson WHRC Chairman for GFWC of Tennessee
The purpose of the GFWC Women's History and Resource Center (WHRC) is to collect and preserve materials and information on women in volunteerism, both historical and contemporary, and to share those resources with researchers. State federations and local clubs are also encouraged to preserve their historical records to ensure those resources are available for research.
Each club is encouraged to be working on their history. Copies can be sent to me or to GFWC-WHRC. A resource of how to write a history is found on the back of the wish-list for WHRC that was given out at your regional meeting.
New pamphlets from GFWC-WHRC are available from each club president. Keep working on your history and report the progress you are making. Reporting Pointers
