SER Tennessee Meeting Information

In November the GFWC of Tennessee will be hosting the SER meeting at the Airport Marriott in Nashville. One of the things we are responsible for are the Goody Bags. We are asking each club to try and get things to go inside them. We will already have about 200 bags. Some suggestions are pens, pencils, tables, nail files, candy, gum, etc. You can ask banks, insurance companies and any buddy that may have something to contribute.

We will need to have them at Fall Board in September, so we can see what we have. If you have any questions you can email me at lindeman@cafes.net.

GFWC Southeastern Region Meeting
at GFWC Convention 2002

SER president Julene B. McPhaul is inviting all Clubwomen belonging to the Federations of District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia to the SER Semi-Annual Meeting, Sunday June 16, 2002 7:30 - 10 p.m. at the Westin Crown Center, Kansas City MO. Reservations must be made through GFWC.

GFWC Germantown Woman's Club Dinner Theater

The Germantown Woman’s Club had a great night at their annual Theatre Night at the Germantown Community Theatre, Wednesday, April 17th. The group enjoyed a time of socializing during dinner before the play in the theatre’s Bonnie Robinson Rehearsal Hall. This year, the play choice was a musical comedy called “Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know”. A travel agent couldn’t have had more entertaining stories.

The theatre was founded by the Germantown Woman’s Club 30 years ago and has contributed to it every year since by buying out a performance and also presenting a contribution to the executive director. This night is one of the club’s highlights of the year for a time to gather spouses and friends together for an evening of fun. It is also a remembrance of the club’s strong commitment to our local community.
