Meet your President Elect -

Mary Love Coley

Mary Love has been a club woman since 1960 with a leave of absence during the time husband George studied for his degree in pharmacy. She has served as president of the Erwin Junior Club, twice of the GFWC Erwin Monday Club, of GFWC District 1, of the GFWC England Society and other organizations such as the Friends of the UC Library. She has served as convention and regional chairman for Tennessee and too many chairmanships to mention. Deciding that the Federation was the way to get things done, Mary Love has attended most of the district and state meetings and 5 GFWC conventions since 1969. She has been the recipient of two GFWC awards for membership and was named the first Outstanding General in Tennessee.
Mary Love and George have been married since 1958. They have three children: Stephen- who is in nuclear medicine in Bremerton, WA.; Marteé- who is in advertising in Atlanta; and Michael-a teacher/coach who recently moved from Bridgton Academy in Maine to Hendersonville. Their four grandchildren Savannah, Jarrod, Annika and Cade range in age from 3 to 14, and just happen to be the brightest stars around.

Mary Love has a masters in Library/Media Services, seventeen years experience in the public schools, and is a fourth Century-going-on-fifth in ESO.
One of the greatest assets that the Federation has is the ability to
work together for a common good, whether it is on the club or national level. The friendships made are silver and gold. Think of it as one of the nation's greatest treasures and one you need to protect and perpetuate.

CHAPLAIN'S CORNER - Mattie Mullins

ALWAYS IN PRAYER

Consistent praying transforms us in our understanding and use of prayer.

Do we always remember to pray?
Do we always begin by asking for things?
Do we always give God praise for things?
Do we always enjoy our praying?
Are we always changed by praying?
Do we always pray for the little things or do we only pray for the biggies?
Do we always pray for God's will?

As we enter into a new year, let's always accept the challenge in praying for our new officers and each other.

May I ask you to keep accurate records this year if you have club members pass away. We want a complete list at the end of the year for our annual memorial service.

Many Thanks!

Mattie Mullins
