GFWC SODALITAS club members have worked hard in preparing for their annual Christmas auction. But this year more than ever, because $3000.00 of the profits were donated to establish a scholarship fund as a memorial to club member Nannie Mae Nevils who passed away last year. Nannie was very devoted to her club and community and the educational interests in our County.
A donation of $1000.00 was also given to the Claiborne County Library to be used to purchase equipment for their new library.

Submitted by Donna Bryant, president GFWC Sodalitas Book Club, New Tazewell TN.

GFWC Monday Club of Johnson City Honors Poet

The GFWC Monday Club of Johnson City, Member Poetry Committee, has presented a "Poet of the Month" during the past year. At one meeting each month a member is invited to read an original poem and is also encouraged to submit her poem to the state contest for members. PAT ALDRIDGE was the first to be recognized in this series.

The GFWC Germantown Woman's Club participated in the Germantown Community Television Auction 2004 at Germantown High School. Club members answered the phones when callers were making bids on items. The Club also sponsored a "Sponsor Board" and filled the board with items for the public to bid on during the auction. The auction is one of the major fundraisers to help the excellent Fine Arts Department and GHS TV at Germantown High School.

GFWC Outlook Club - Millington from Pres. Pauline Miles

The members of GFWC Outlook Club focus on our objective of improvement of self, home, community and world. We read to classes at E. A. Harrold Elementary School, and purchase new library books and Weekly Readers for the students.

We sponsor a 10th grader from Millington High School to Tennessee Leadership Seminar. Exchange students are invited to speak at our meetings. Our mayor’s wife is a member of the School Board, and brings updates on the new Millington High School building program. With the help of Parks & Recreation Department, we work hard for the City’s ART SHOW and Quilt Display. We sponsor AARP Driver Safety Programs each Spring and Fall.

Programs on Health issues and Safety provide interesting speakers. We watch for opportunities to learn, help, serve and enjoy.
