Art Department News - Sue Arnhart Here are some updates for the Arts and
Crafts chairperson in each club: PHOTOGRAPHY 2002-2004 a. Black/white or Color photos b. Size of entry (Including matting) at least 10" x12" and no larger than 14" x 16". NO frames or glass c. Back of photo must have arrow drawn indicating top d. INFO on Back: category name, photographer's name, address, phone #, sponsoring club, and Caption telling location & situation of photo. e. States entitled to one entry in each of the four categories. f. Photos must be taken during contest year. g. Contestants must be amateur photographers; earnings from photography must not exceed $500 annually. h. Only entries with Self-addressed stamped (insured if desired) package will be returned. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A COVER LETTER FROM THE STATE ARTS & CRAFTS PROGRAM CHAIRMAN LISTING THE NAMES OF WINNERS AND THEIR CATEGORIES.
GFWC of TN Recording Secretary - Ann Delaney
Ann lives in Tullahoma, but grew up in Franklin TN. She is married to Jim, a retired Air Force Officer and Engineer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville AL. Their daughter Meghan is a Registered Nurse and resides with husband Scott Cook in Murfreesboro TN. In college, Ann was a Communications major with emphasis on journalism. Writing, cooking and music are her passions. Ann is an enthusiastic member of GFWC, the First Baptist Church's Celebration Choir, the Garden Club and the Air Force Retired Military Spouse's Club
Meet DISTRICT VI PRESIDENT JUNE ROSS
Tish Jones, GFWC Somo Sala Circle member, and Brigette Jehle, GFWC Ladies Reading Circle member, and Bill Kornrich founded the International Festival in Morristown in 1995. This year's committee members include representatives from Germany, Japan, France, USA, Philippines, Austria, Holland, South Africa, Czech Republic, Yugoslavia, Mexico, India and Cuba. In addition to celebrating the different cultures in the area, the festival also serves to raise awareness and interest of these various cultures, while at the same time giving the area's newest neighbors a sense of belonging and welcoming. The two largest events of the festival are the International Day and the International Day Dinner. The international committee meets monthly at Rose Center in Morristown.
