When you read in the Bible you see that a lot of houses in the New Testament times had 'people' living in them. Jesus went to people's houses for dinner -- the houses of disciples, tax collectors, and Pharisees. When he wanted to get away from it all, Jesus went to the house of Lazarus and his sisters Mary and Martha. The Last Supper was observed in an upper room of a house in Jerusalem. The early church met in houses. There, they prayed and shared meals in common. They were meeting in a house when the Holy Spirit came upon them. The Apostle Paul stayed at people's houses on his missionary journeys, including that of Lydia, a Philippian businesswoman. Mary, the mother of Jesus, was visited by an angel in her house. God does some of his best work in houses --- including yours. Think about it .. WHO lives in your house? Charlotte Dean appointed NEW WHRC Chairman

Read what the GFWC web page says about this important work of GFWC: "WHRC The Women's History and Resource Center (WHRC) was founded by the General Federation of Women's Clubs in 1984. The center was begun as the result of a perceived need for an archives and library that would document the historic social contributions of women volunteers, both as individuals and in unity. WHRC collections cover a broad range of subject areas and support historical research on many topics." Log on to www.gfwc.org for more information about WHRC. P.S. HAVE you sent YOUR club's History to WHRC?
