Christmas Trees for Sister City fundraiser -
GFWC Germantown Woman's Club project

GWFC Germantown Woman's Club members decorated Christmas trees to support the Germantown Sister City fundraiser. The city gave the club the two foot trees and our club members decorated them. The decorated trees were donated and auctioned at the Germantown Municipal Building after the Germantown Tree Lighting ceremony on Sat.,
November 30th. The monies raised help support the exchange of students from Germantown, TN and a city in Germany.

GFWC Dickson County Woman's Club

On Make A Difference Day 2002, GFWC Dickson Co. Woman's Club participated in the Field of Dreams Fun Day in White Bluff, a city in Dickson county. Club members manned booths at this carnival-like fund raiser to make money for a child- designed, community funded, community built playground that will be like no other in the area. This playground will be specifically built for both typically normal and special needs children. In addition to helping with the carnival, GFWC-DCWC bought a $1,000 component that will have a commemorative plaque naming them as the donor of the rock climbing wall.

GFWC JUNIOR CHILHOWEE

from Angela Bryson

Thanks to Della and the International Affairs Department for an awesome November meeting! We packed up 50 boxes for needy children in Appalachia almost as quickly as Santa's elves. By partnering with the students from the Senior Inquiry class at Maryville High School and 4th graders at Foothills Elementary, we were part of an even bigger effort from Maryville. Thanks to all club members who brought items for the boxes and to those who packed and wrapped the boxes. It's great to be a part of a group of caring, giving women who know how to get things done!

We will be helping the Junior Service League in packing Toys for Tots at the National Guard Armory in December.

Thanks to all members who bought/sold one or more Christmas wreaths for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Club in Blount County
