MORE from President Lana Robinson

ATTENTION ALL TRIBUTE OF HONOREES!

In order for GFWC of Tennessee to continue to benefit from the leadership skills and volunteer spirit you exhibited to receive this award, Tana Sowell, our GFWC of TN Corresponding Secretary and fellow recipient, has asked to form a new club comprised of those who have been so honored.

This club would be much like The England Society. Meetings would be held at Conferences and Conventions. Once the club is chartered, members would decide on an area of focus and combine their efforts thereto.

Tana has tried to contact all honorees, either by email or snail mail. If you have not received your correspondence from Tana, please contact her at (615) 847-2625 or RipNTana@msn.com .

It now seems possible that all necessary steps can be completed and approval given at Convention.

NEED A ROOMMATE
FOR CONVENTION?

If you would like to be matched up for a roommate at Convention, please let us know when you register. To do so, please include your name, phone number, email address, etc. on a separate piece of paper and include it with your registration form. This will make it much easier for those doing the matching up. You will make the decision on your roommate. We will simply supply the names and phone numbers of those who indicate their need. Hopefully this will help those who want to attend but cannot bear the expense of single occupancy.

Lana reports the passing
of Margaret Boyd - Jan 8, 2003

(from email Jan. 9, 2003)

My Dear Friends--

It is with great sadness that I tell you of the passing of one of our staunchest members and one of my fellow clubwomen dearest to me. Margaret Boyd, past president of District V and past president of GFWC Stones River Woman's Club died yesterday afternoon after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday evening. Margaret was currently serving as our Clubwoman magazine chairman.

Visitation with Margaret's family will be Friday (Jan . 10th.) 4:00 until 8:00 at Hibbett-Haley Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 11:00 at her church -- Lincoya Baptist with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

I am equally saddened for our Donna McLean whose father passed away this week also.

Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers.

Love to All, Lana
