More about ‘the walk’

Patricia Williams, Director-Elect of GFWC of Tennessee Junior Clubs walked in New York City's Avonwalk for Breast Cancer in honor of her 88 year old mother, a two-time breast cancer survivor. Patricia Williams, with the support of the GFWC Johnson City Junior Monday Club, walked 23 miles crossing through three boroughs and over three major bridges in New York City September 20 and 21. Patricia has been a member of the Johnson City Junior Monday Club for 18 years. Her club donated part of the over $2,000 dollars that she raised for the Avonwalk, and three other club members joined her in New York as her cheering section.

GFWC Germantown Woman's Club welcomes its new members at the New Member Orientation Coffee in the home of Pat Melvin. The club prides itself on maintaining an active group that contributes many hours of volunteer time to the community. Pictured from left to right are Elaine Cates, Jane Ingram, Ann Hodge, Sheila Martin, and Sue Blasingame.

Thank you! The generosity of the club women that attended the GFWC International Convention in Little Rock and the GFWC Board of Directors Meeting in Savannah resulted in over $2,500 being raised to support GFWC’s operating budget.
