MEMBERSHIP MATTERS,

Here is your membership checklist:

1. Membership reports - due to me by Feb. 15.
Use the form on Page 53 of the beige booklet from GFWC. Be sure to report EVERYTHING you do regarding member recruitment, retention and retainment.

2. Outstanding Clubwoman Nominee
Recognize that special club member for her work—she deserves it! I want a nominee from EVERY club this year!!
Deadline March 1st. (see Form on page 8 )

3. Gold Card recipients
Honor your members if they have been GFWC members for 50+ years. Use the form on page 53 in the beige GFWC
Special Projects booklet. I need those by April 1st.

GFWC strongly supports enforcing existing laws, new legislation prohibiting inattentive driving and creating more punitive fines for the inattentive drivers.

The GFWC Junior Reading Circle of Morristown, TN recently gave away the proceeds from our 14th annual Morristown Charity Horse Show. The annual horse show is held the first weekend of October each year. It is our biggest fundraising event each year. Our membership enjoys working together to host this annual event.
This year we gave away $12,000. This is the largest one year total to date. We gave the money to the following local charity groups: Central Services - Heating Program - $1,500, Morristown-Hamblen Humane Society - $2,500, Girls, Inc. - $500, CEASE - $2,000, American Red Cross of Morristown - $1,500, Walter State Community College Scholarship - $1,000, ALPS - $500, Morristown-Hamblen Library - $1,500, Daily Bread - $500 and New Hope - $500.


Keep up the good work. The best is yet to be...and...remember, for the GFWC 1734 Society to be successful...YOU are the KEY!

1734 Society

The 1734 Society supports the headquarters building in Washington.

Each club should consider sending a contribution of $17.34, $173.40, or $1734.00 to the Society to help maintain our beautiful Headquarters.

When you file reports, send your 1734 Society Report to Margaret England, GF of TN Chairman.
