Attention Club Presidents: Watch for the new program booklets and be sure to pass them on to the 2004 president. 2004 club presidents take good care of the booklets because you will need to pass them to the next president. GF will only print new materials beginning with your term.

GFWC Conventions: Plan now for these great trips.
2004 Orlando;
2005 Las Vegas;
2006 Denver.
Who votes at GF conventions? The club president or the person she delegates after notifying GF by mail who that will be, and one delegate for each 25 members holding membership in each club. Also, the district presidents and the state officers have a vote, but their votes may not be transferred to another person. While you may fax your reservations, meal and workshop choices to GF, please do not fax delegate cards - mail them.

GFWC Orientation for 2004-2006 Board
Attending were: Mary Love Coley, Pat Williams, Lana Robinson and Susan Martin.

Over 200 ladies visited their Senators to encourage them to limit weight and number of trailers pulled by truckers on the nation's highways (S.1140) While making it clear that GF is not against trucking, the concerns included safety, highway maintenance, and loss of jobs.
A second issue, The Elder Justice Act (S-333), was also discussed.
