HBO Viewing Party and Voter Registration Contest
HBO Films is offering GFWC clubs the opportunity to a host a fun-filled movie viewing party and play an important role in the political process by participating in their voter registration contest. Iron Jawed Angels, the new movie by HBO Films, premieres on Sunday, February 15 at 9:30 pm. Starring Academy Award-winner Hillary Swank, this inspirational movie tells the powerful, true story of Alive Paul and Lucy Burns, and their efforts to pass the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote.

To honor the actions and sacrifices of the heroic women in this film, HBO is launching a national voter registration campaign and wants your help. They are looking for folks to host an Iron Jawed Angels Viewing Party during which you are encouraged to recruit participants for their voter registration contest. The contest challenges individuals to register as many voters as possible and rewards the winner with a trip for two to Washington, DC. ** HBO will also reward the host (and guest) of the viewing party that the winner attended with a trip to Washington, DC.**

HBO has created the Iron Jawed Angels Viewing Party Kit to give you everything you need to host a very cool party and recruit participants for the contest: invitations, postage, viewing party handbook, $15 voucher for food and beverage, 10 voter registration kits, and a special gift from HBO.

If you interested in hosting a viewing party with HBO, email ija@cegnyc.om, to indicate your interest. After receiving your email, they'll send your more information including a fact sheet and registration form.

GFWC is thrilled with the number of reports that have arrived at Headquarters. They are a constant reminder of the terrific work that GFWC clubs are involved in. Please remember to send a copy of your club reports to us at headquarters; we look forward to reading about your activities.

Sincerely,
Judy Lutz
GFWC International President
