GFWC of Tennessee
Volume 3, Issue 1        TennesSEE Volunteers Using Our Infinite Potential         August 2004

LOVE NOTES - President Mary Love Coley

Having accepted the office of presidency for the great GFWC of Tennessee, I expect it to cause me to use infinite potential - mine and yours. To follow in the footsteps of our fantastic past presidents and to maintain our traditions in view of all the changes being made is a daunting and daily task. Thank you for electing an awesome board to serve with me. Each one brings special talents and enthusiasm and have already been putting some of their infinite potential to good use. Also, a special thanks to each of the ladies who have accepted appointed positions on the Board of Directors. Together we can continue to make a difference in our world.

Special thanks to all who participated in the summer board in Cookeville. I hope that all who attended went home with lots of new information and know-how. Now, it is time to turn our thoughts to the Fall Board and Conference.

The Conference is being set up to enable the clubs to learn, to share ideas, and have fun networking with friends from across TN. It is planned so that no matter how small or large your club is, there is a potential for growth through leadership--through membership -- and for the individual's personal growth. We will be stressing: Healthy Women - Healthy Clubs.

It has always been my experience to come away from Fall Board with new ideas that my club can put into action and that is what we plan for you. The expenses are the best we could get - just as you ask for in the survey. So bring a friend and join us in Cookeville for the 2004 Fall Board & Conference.

The call and information for the weekend are included in this issue and each president will also receive a mailed call. Please watch the deadlines and adhere to them. Credentials are an awesome task and materials must be prepared for you.

Love to see You in Cookeville,

Mary Love

Happy summertime! I hope you enjoyed a fun-filled 4th of July holiday and are planning a relaxing summer with family and friends.
