"It is not enough to be busy, so are the ants.
The question is, 'What are we busy about'?"

The members of the GFWC Eighth District held their Fall District Meeting on October 9, 2004 at Boyette's Restaurant at Reelfoot Lake. There were 40 members present with 2 guests, GFWC of TN President Mary Love Coley and GFWC of TN Corresponding Secretary Martee Coley. District President Jane Wilson conducted the meeting and introduced our State President who spoke on her emphasis for her administration. After a sinfully good meal of fried catfish, country ham, chicken, onion rings, French fries, white beans, slaw, homemade rolls and apples everyone then enjoyed the results of our Silent Auction. There were so many wonderful items that we made $453.75 for our Dollars for Delegates fund. We were especially grateful that Martee was there as she contributed to this fund nicely! (Hope it went well in the bath, Martee!!) We would like to thank the Ridgely Woman's Club, Tiptonville Woman's Club, Tiptonville Woman's League and Reelfoot Woman's Club for hosting this meeting. They did a wonderful job. For those members who missed this meeting, all I can say is you really missed a great time.
