A Rose of GFWC Fontinalis Club During the 2003-2004 year, Gail made 10 or more trips to Wartburg. Each time she and her husband Val took their van filled with items., which she has cleaned and mended for the Unicorn Shop. At Christmas, Gail encourages members to bring sweat suits, tops or pants, wrapped and marked , to the December meeting. She then takes them to Wartburg She delivers hand made baby items and a variety of books. One family, who was going into a nursing home, donated clothing and household items. A rented truck, at Gail’s expense, was needed to transport all these items. GFWC Fontinalis Club is very proud of the work Gail does, and recognized her with a rose corsage for her work on the Unicorn Project. Submitted by Wynona Dye, president. GFWC of TN President Elect As Dean of Districts, I want to thank the District Presidents for making arrangements for club members to receive the new administration information and to host the meetings with the GFWC of TN spirit. Friendships were renewed; Department and Committee Chairmen gave reports and updates, special recognition was given to GFWC of TN guests and other visitors. Protocol and parliamentary procedure was a high priority. If you are not attending your district meetings, you are missing a special link to GFWC. District Presidents have a “library” of GFWC materials to assist clubs. District Presidents are club resources. Give your District President a call |
