REGINA MULLINS, KEYNOTE SPEAKER at 106th GFWC of TENNESSEE Convention
Regina Mullins, one of the first Magdalene House residents who graduated from the program in 1998, will be our keynote speaker to open the 106th GFWC of Tennessee annual convention. On Friday, club women will have the opportunity to participate in the Day of Service project at Thistle Farms, workplace for the women of the Magdalene House.
This ground breaking program, begun in 1996, provides sanctuary, support services and educational opportunities for women who have a significant history of prostitution and chemical dependency. In the spring of 2001, Thistle Farms was launched as a work place for the residents and friends of Magdalene.
Regina, a mother of three sons, currently serves as Magdalenes Weekend Manager and is a member of the Board of Directors. A frequent speaker to Nashville organizations and churches, Regina will share her story with us on Saturday morning. |
